Admisiones / Admission

El proceso de admisión para las familias nuevas se compone de dos fases:

Primera Fase

1. Visitar el Centro/Escuela y entrevistarse con la Directora, su asistente o la orientadora y/o asistir a la Casa Abierta.
2. Completar la información del Formulario de Registro.
3. Si el estudiante es uno de traslado, y ha completado Kinder u otro grado posterior, el encargado del estudiante debe enviar el expediente académico por correo antes de pagar la matrícula en W.A.L.K.S. No se matriculará al candidato sin éste documento.
4. De Primer Grado en adelante, W.A.L.K.S. exige que se presente:
• una evaluación psicoeducativa del candidato, y que
• el estudiante demuestre su proficiencia en inglés mediante una prueba de entrada administrada en la escuela. No se matriculará al candidato si no se han satisfecho estos requisitos.
5. Esperar que la escuela le extienda la autorización de matrícula al candidato.

The admission process for new families has two phases:

First Phase

1. Visit the Center/School and have an interview with the Director, her assistant, the school's counselor and/or attend the School's Open House.
2. Fill the Registration Form.
3. If the student transfers from another school, and has finished Kinder on up, we must receive the official student record by mail before payment of registration. The candidate will not be allowed to register unless these documents are submitted.
4. From First grade up, the student must:
• be given a psycho-educative test and
• present evidence of English proficiency. The candidate will no be allowed to register unless these documents are submitted.
5. Allow for school's review of documents and the enrollment notice.

Segunda Fase

            1. Luego de recibida la notificación, el encargado efectúa los pagos correspondientes en la Oficina de Contabilidad de la escuela. Luego del pago, la escuela envía al encargado los documentos de admisión.

            2. El encargado completa los documentos restantes de admisión y los devuelve a la escuela junto con dos fotos 2x2", copia del Seguro Social, copia del Certificado de Nacimiento y Certificado de Inmunización (P-VAC-3). Estos documentos deben ser completados por cada niño que desee matricular en W.A.L.K.S.

Second Phase

1. After receipt of the enrollment notice, fees due must be paid at the school's Accounting Office. After payment is received, the school sends the admission documents.

2. Parents/caregivers must read carefully the admission forms, sign and return all required documents with two 2 x 2" photographs of the applicant, a copy of the child's Social Security card, a copy of the child's birth certificate and an updated immunization record (P-VAC-3).
